Profiling Turkiye’s New Role in OIC: Complementing or Competing?

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the second-largest intergovernmental organization after United Nations (UN). However, over years, OIC has been criticized for its inability to address issues that jeopardize interests Muslims. This paper focuses on Türkiye’s new role in OIC. The objective this analyse how Türkiye undermined domination Saudi Arabia Qualitative single method case study explains soft power approach hegemon organization. Primary data (through interviews) and content analysis were adopted as gathering study. findings analysed through a three-level perspective; individual, state international environment. Social-Constructivism theory was used guide investigating motivation propagating influence finding illustrates agenda slowly have divided member states follow passion populist transparency. For future research purposes, possible topic related such human rights traditional patrimonial system ‘big brother’ ‘little practiced could be replaced with relevant leadership style.
