چکیده
Plant Based Natural Products (PBNPs) have contributed to the development of drugs for diverse indications. Worldwide interest in use PBNPs has been growing, and its beneficial effects being rediscovered drug leads. Literature survey on indigenous traditional knowledge bestows ethnopharmacological potentials PBNPs, inspired research design discovery; provide a baseline novel leads against various pharmacological targets. Reports indicate that rosemary essential oil (ROEO) extracts show biological bioactivities such as hepatoprotective, antifungal, insecticide, antioxidant antibacterial. However, their application is limited because odor, color taste. Phytochemical screening indicates presence phenol, flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, carbohydrates, proteins, glycosides, saponins, coumarins, terpenoids, quinones, steroids. Owing widespread applications phyto-compounds ROEO - GCMS was performed. analysis detected 22 compounds (?-Pinene, Camphene, ?-Myrcene, ?-Terpinine, p-Cymene, trans-3-Caren-2-ol, 1,8-Cineole, ?-Terpinene, ?-Terpinolene, Linalool, Isopulegol, Eucalyptol, Terpinen-4-ol, 2-Naphthalenol, (-)-Myrtenol, Verbenone, Terpine, ?-Copaene, ?-Caryophyllene, ?-Cadinene, Caryophyllene oxide) which 6 Terpine) were abundant. These prospected molecular properties present study.

Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaves as a Natural Source of Bioactive Compounds
In an extensive search for bioactive compounds from plant sources, the composition of different extracts of rosemary leaves collected from different geographical zones of Serbia was studied. The qualitative and quantitative characterization of 20 rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) samples, obtained by microwave-assisted extraction (MAE), was determined by high performance liquid chromatography c...
متن کاملAnti-Inflammatory Effects of Rosmarinus officinalis Essential Oil in Mice
Essential oils are plant secondary metabolites possessing various pharmacological properties, primarily anti-oxidative, antimicrobial or immunomodulative, but they can exhibit toxic and allergic effects as well. The aim of this study was to compare the effects of Rosmarinus officinalis essential oil dietary administration in carrageenan paw oedema and trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS) coliti...
متن کاملPharmacology of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis Linn.) and its therapeutic potentials.
The use of plants is as old as the mankind. Natural products are cheap and claimed to be safe. They are also suitable raw material for production of new synthetic agents. Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis Linn.) is a common household plant grown in many parts of the world. It is used for flavouring food, a beverage drink, as well as in cosmetics; in folk.medicine it is used as an antispasmodic i...
متن کاملAnti-proliferative and antioxidant properties of rosemary Rosmarinus officinalis.
Constituents in rosemary have shown a variety of pharmacological activities for cancer chemoprevention and therapy in in vitro and in vivo models. In order to further explore the chemopreventive properties of crude extracts of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L), we studied its anti-proliferative property on several human cancer cell lines and its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties in...
متن کاملFlower size variation in Rosmarinus officinalis: individuals, populations and habitats.
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Flowers are relatively invariant organs within species, but quantitative variation often exists among conspecifics. These variations represent the raw material that natural selection can magnify, eventually resulting in morphological divergence and diversification. This paper investigates floral variability in Rosmarinus officinalis, a Mediterranean shrub. METHODS Nine pop...
