The tourism suitability index (IKW) research conducted at Semawang Beach, Sanur Village, Denpasar, aimed to determine the limiting factors, value of index, and zone utilization coastal area for recreation category. method used is observation survey in field by purposive sampling 4 station points, divided into a beach length 710 m, tourist interviews with as many 50 respondents. data include type, water depth, width, base material, current velocity, slope, clarity, land cover, hazardous biota, freshwater availability. analysis refers matrix classification factor Beach closure land. activities recreational category I was 96.43%, II 90.48%, III IV 94.04%.
