Production of nanopowder of cerium (III) fluoride obtained by pulsed electron beam evaporation in vacuum

Abstract The method of pulsed electron beam evaporation in vacuum was first used to obtain CeF 3 nanopowder (NP). During NP production, a high rate the target (~ 7 g/h) and higher percentage collection (> 72%) were observed, both for fluoride previously obtained CeO 2 oxide. It found that produced contains two crystalline phases: hexagonal (95 wt.%, coherent scattering region ≈ 8 nm [Ce-O-F] or [Ce-F]. magnetic susceptibility nanoparticles (NPles) coincides with micron particles, indicating potential using such NPles as contrast agent tomography. High specific surface area (CeO -270 m /g, – 62 /g), large pore volume (0.35-0.11 cm /g) allow use nanocontainers drug delivery.
