Production of Influenza Virus Proteins Using Recombinant Insect Cells

نویسندگان

چکیده

Influenza vaccines have long been manufactured in embryonated chicken eggs. This method has some problems such as a production period (about 6 months) and use of large amounts infectious pathogens. Recently, the recombinant subunit using baculovirus–insect cell system extensively investigated. In this system, viral immunodominant components can be produced more rapidly larger scale than conventional egg-based process. However, continuous is virtually impossible because infection baculovirus results death host insect cells. present study, we established stably transformed cells that secreted influenza virus-like particles (VLPs) consisting hemagglutinin (HA), major protective antigen A virus, matrix protein 1 (M1), another structural virus. Hemagglutination assay transmission electron microscopy (TEM) suggested HA by kept hemagglutination activity morphology VLPs was similar to wild type virus particles.

Baculoviral Expression of Influenza A Virus (H1N1 New Caledonia) Neuraminidase in Insect Cells

Background and Aims: Each year, the influenza virus causes moderate to severe infections with a high prevalence throughout the world. Accordingly, an influenza vaccine that ensures protection with only a single dose would be a much more cost effective approach to influenza prophylaxis. Generation of Influenza non-replicating virus-like particles (VLP) in baculoviral expression system is an attr...

Production of monoclonal antibodies against recombinant nucleoprotein of avian influenza virus, serotype H9N2

Background: Avian influenza viruses (AIVs) including the subtype H9N2 cause considerable financial losses to poultry industries. Rapid and accurate diagnosis of avian influenza (AI) infection is important in control and eradication programs. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to produce monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) specific for the nucleocapsid protein )NP (of AIV H9N2 subtype to improve dia...

baculoviral co-expression of ha, na and m1 proteins of highly pathogenic h5n1 influenza virus in insect cells

conclusions: the recombinant baculovirus constructed in this work has proper characteristics to produce h5n1 influenza virus-like particles in sf9 cells. results: restriction map of pfastbacihnm1 plasmid confirmed the fidelity of the clone. the pcr carried out on the recombinant bacmids as template indicated that a proper homologous recombination has occurred between pfastbacihnm1 donor plasmid...

Polyclonal Antibody against Recombinant Nucleoprotein of the Influenza A Virus (H1N1); Production and Purification

Background and Aims: Influenza is an acute respiratory illness that is caused by a virus belonging to Orthomyxoviridae family. This virus spreads rapidly every year in cold season and leads to morbidities and mortalities especially in adults and children, which causes billions of dollars of economic losses. Accordingly, development of a rapid, sensitive and inexpensive laboratory diagnosis base...
