چکیده
Abstract In this study, we attempted to develop a cost-effective activated carbon (AC) from local tea waste. AC was synthesized via pyrolysis process and used it treat tannery waste-water. A methylene blue adsorption test then conducted determine the highest capability of AC. The crystal structure microstructure were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) scanning electron microscopy (SEM). An average crystallite size 15 nm measured XRD while sub-nano meter scale particle confirmed SEM images. Produced for treatment industrial waste-water that results in reduction about 89–97% chromium water. addition, other physical parameters (Biochemical oxygen demand chemical turbidity, conductivity, Cr content) also significantly reduced These suggest use as well domestic

Waste from tea, a beverage globally consumed is a common menace discarded to the environment thereby contributing to environmental pollution. The textile and paper industries have also been major culprits in the pollution of the environment through their indiscriminate discharge of dye solutions. These dyes are carcinogenic, mutagenic, and generally harmful to the entire eco-system; this has po...
