Process mechanics in continuous friction stir extrusion process of aluminum alloy

Abstract. Friction Stir Extrusion (FSE) is an innovative direct-recycling technology developed for metal machining chips. A rotating die plunged into a cylindrical chamber containing the material to be recycled during procedure. The die's stirring action causes strong bonding, enabling back extrusion of full dense rod. One technology's major flaws process' discontinuity, which limits volume extrudes chamber's capacity. Based on previous experience some authors have designed machine tool continuous solid-state recycling chips with aims overcome limitations discontinuous process makes it potentially appealing industry. In this work, defined, set-up machines presented, and experimental findings case studies are shown analyzed. Finally, goal mechanics FSE process, numerical model was created starting from results obtained by process.
