چکیده

Coupled with convection flow, multisolute dilution was investigated by an improved numerical model during laser dissimilar welding of 304 stainless steel and nickel. Thermal behavior firstly studied solidification characteristics were also analyzed. Then, dimensional analysis driving force carried out, the evolution surface tension shear stress quantitatively analyzed for a better understanding mechanism. Finally, species based on model, then compared binary clear illustration. Cooling rate found much larger at SS side, but morphology parameter changed little between different sides. Both relatively this difference decreased time. Surface reached 3390 Pa 2000 side Ni respectively, results in centrally outward Marangoni flow. Multisolute effect considered, distribution all main elements obtained one time high efficiency. Simulated result from showed great correspondence EDS observation. The fundamental conclusions work provided valuable insight into heat mass transfer process additive manufacturing.

Femtosecond fiber laser welding of dissimilar metals.

In this paper, welding of dissimilar metals was demonstrated for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, by using a high-energy high-repetition-rate femtosecond fiber laser. Metallurgical and mechanical properties were investigated and analyzed under various processing parameters (pulse energy, repetition rate, and welding speed). Results showed that the formation of intermetallic brittle...

Friction Welding to Join Dissimilar Metals

The purpose of this work was to join and assess the development of solid state joints of dissimilar material AA6082 aluminum alloy and AISI 304 stainless steel, via continuous drive friction welding process, which combines the heat generated from friction between two surfaces and plastic deformation. Tests were conducted with different welding process parameters. The results were analyzed by me...

Control of Welding Residual Stress for Dissimilar Laser Welded Materials

The most common problem of welding dissimilar metals (DMWs) with respect to residual stresses is the differences in the coefficient of thermal expansion and heat conductivity of the two welded metals. In the present work, a CO2 continuous laser welding process was successfully applied and optimized for joining a dissimilar AISI 316 stainless steel and low carbon steel plates. The Taguchi approa...
