چکیده

Magneto-optical techniques are key tools for the characterization of magnetic effects at a nanoscale. Here, we present dark-field magneto-optical Kerr effect (DFMOKE), technique have recently developed three-dimensional nanostructures. We introduce principles DFMOKE, based on separation an incident beam into multiple reflected beams when focusing 3D nano-geometry. show modifications needed in standard focused MOKE magnetometer to perform these measurements. Finally, showcase power this method by detecting switching single tilted nanowire, independently from thin film that surrounds it. obtain independent and simultaneous detection nanowire all dimensions investigated, allowing us estimate sensitivity 7 × 10 −15 A m 2 DFMOKE setup used. conclude article providing perspectives future avenues where can be very powerful tool investigations

Magnetic Hysteresis Modelling Based on Magneto-optical Kerr Effect

The paper presents an identification method of the numerical Preisach hysteresis model, based on the digital acquisition and processing of the magnetic microstructure images, which are obtained by time-resolved magneto-optical microscopy. The statistic Preisach function is computed by the superposition of all pixels, allowing to verify the basic assumptions of Preisach hysteresis model from the...

A mirror based polar magneto-optical Kerr effect spectroscopy arrangement.

An arrangement is described for performing magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) spectroscopy in polar geometry with a conventional C-frame or H-frame type electromagnet. It uses an additional mirror which eliminates the need for an electromagnet pole piece with an axial hole and allows for easy switching between polar MOKE geometry and longitudinal or transverse MOKE geometries. A theoretical ana...

Magneto–optical Kerr Effect in Semi–infinite Inhomogeneous Layered Systems

The contour integration technique applied to calculate the optical conductivity tensor at finite temperatures in the case of inhomogeneous surface layered systems within the framework of the spin– polarized relativistic screened Korringa–Kohn–Rostoker band structure method is extended to arbitrary polarizations of the electric field. It is shown that besides the inter–band contribution, the con...
