Probabilistic Seismic Assessment of CoSPSW Structures Using Fragility Functions

The corrugated steel plate shear wall (CoSPSW) is a new type of wall, in which plates instead flat are adopted. lateral stiffness and buckling capacity the system could be significantly enhanced, then, under gravity loads would mitigated. This paper presents study on probabilistic assessment seismic performance vulnerability CoSPSWs using fragility functions. damage states corresponding repair were first established from experimental data. Then, incremental dynamic analyses conducted CoSPSW structures. structural nonstructural functions developed, based obtained compared with conventional walls (SPSWs). It was shown that for various states, 25th percentile PGA always higher than SPSWs same thickness boundary frame, indicated has lower potential better SPSW.
