Metal-based Inkjet Inks for Printed Electronics
A review on applications of metal-based inkjet inks for printed electronics with a particular focus on inks containing metal nanoparticles, complexes and metallo-organic compounds. The review describes the preparation of such inks and obtaining conductive patterns by using various sintering methods: thermal, photonic, microwave, plasma, electrical, and chemically triggered. Various applications...
متن کاملInk-Jet Printing Cotton with Cationic Reactive Dye Based Inks
The current commercial application of ink-jet reactive inks to cotton fabrics has been through pre-treating with pad liquor prior to printing. In This study made an effort to provide a single phase ink-jet printing process for printing cotton fabric using the novel cationic reactive dye in ink’s formulation. Cotton fabric was printed upon with the novel cationic reactive dye and commercial anio...
متن کاملInkjet printing of conductive inks with high lateral resolution on omniphobic "R(F) paper" for paper-based electronics and MEMS.
The use of omniphobic "fluoroalkylated paper" as a substrate for inkjet printing of aqueous inks that are the precursors of electrically conductive patterns is described. By controlling the surface chemistry of the paper, it is possible to print high resolution, conductive patterns that remain conductive after folding and exposure to common solvents.
متن کاملColor gamut reduction techniques for printing with custom inks
Printing with custom inks is of interest both for artistic purposes and for printing security documents such as banknotes. However, in order to create designs with only a few custom inks, a general purpose high-quality gamut reduction technique is needed. Most existing gamut mapping techniques map an input gamut such as the gamut of a CRT display into the gamut of an output device such as a CMY...
متن کاملMicrofluidic Printheads for Multimaterial 3D Printing of Viscoelastic Inks.
Multimaterial 3D printing using microfluidic printheads specifically designed for seamless switching between two visco-elastic materials "on-the-fly" during fabrication is demonstrated. This approach opens new avenues for the digital assembly of functional matter with controlled compositional and property gradients at the microscale.
