Primary Serous Cystadenocarcinoma of Broad Ligament: A Case Report with Laparoscopic, Histopathologic and Immunohistochemical Findings

An 86-year-old Japanese woman underwent an examining laparoscopy for removing the huge pelvic tumor. At laparoscope examination, cystic tumor was found within left broad ligament, while ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus showed almost normal appearance. The removed together by total laparoscopic hysterectomy bilateral salpingo-oophorectomies after suction of serous content in ligament. Cytological findings ascites suggested carcinoma. resected ovaries were grossly histologically normal. Histological examination solid part ligament tumor, closely next to tube, revealed a adenocarcinoma. Immunohistochemically, cells strongly positive CK7, WT-1, estrogen receptor, AE1/AE3 EMA, negative CK20, D2-40 calretinin. Also, they progesterone receptor p53. authors diagnosed primary as being cystadenocarcinoma [pTIC3NxM0, modified adapted post-surgical staging ovarian cancer (FIGO 2014)]. patient has been receiving 6 cycles adjuvant chemotherapies with one course paclitaxel (PTX) carboplatin (CBDCA) five PTX, CBDCA Bevacizumab, no signs recurrence metastasis six months operation.
