The article is devoted to the topical issue of primary school teacher training in higher educational institutions. purpose research investigate process developing teachers’ soft skills teaching philological disciplines.
 After a comparative analysis definitions category ‘soft skills’ proposed by Ukrainian and foreign researchers, authors have emphasized that are especially crucial for teachers. Researchers noted form develop effectively during lectures practical classes it necessary use different ways interaction, namely games, case studies, colloquia, individual group projects.
