چکیده
Primary cutaneous lymphomas are extranodal non-Hodgkin of T- or B- cell origin, that predominantly affect older patients but have been reported in all age groups and as early the first years life. Diagnosis is challenging requires high clinical suspicion close collaboration between dermatologists, pediatric oncologists pathologists. Skin involvement children adolescents can either be primary secondary due to an underlying nodal lymphoma. The most common encountered T-cell with mycosis fungoides being prevalent lymphoma, followed by CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorders. While share clinicopathologic characteristics juvenile adult forms, there important differences terms presentation, diagnosis treatment. hypopigmented variant seems overrepresented group. Prognosis treatment stage dependent. majority present early-stage disease respond well topical corticosteroids phototherapy.

Primary cutaneous lymphomas.
Primary cutaneous lymphomas have a distinct clinical behavior and prognosis, and therefore require a different therapeutic approach, as compared with their primary nodal equivalents. The European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) classification for primary cutaneous lymphomas recognizes a limited number of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas and cutaneous B-cell lymphomas and is ...
متن کاملPrimary cutaneous T-cell lymphomas.
Primary cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCLs) encompass a clinically and biologically heterogeneous group of non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHLs) defined by clonal proliferation of skin-homing malignant T lymphocytes and natural killer cells. They account for up to 75% to 80% of all cutaneous lymphomas. The current WHO-EORTC classification of cutaneous lymphomas with primary cutaneous manifestations lists...
متن کاملPrimary Cutaneous Lymphomas and Interferon Treatment
Primary cutaneous lymphomas (PCLs) are the second most common group of extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL) with an estimated annual incidence of 1/100.000. Interferons (IFNs) are used in mono or combination therapy for cutaneous lymphomas especially for cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL) for years. IFN-α is the most widely-used type for cutaneous lymphomas. IFN-α has been shown to be a highly...
متن کاملPrimary cutaneous lymphomas: diagnosis and treatment
Primary cutaneous lymphomas (CLs) are a heterogeneous group of lymphoproliferative neoplasms, with lymphatic proliferation limited to the skin with no involvement of lymph nodes, bone marrow or viscera at the diagnosis. Cutaneous lymphomas originate from mature T-lymphocytes (65% of all cases), mature B-lymphocytes (25%) or NK cells. Histopathological evaluation including immunophenotyping of t...

BACKGROUND Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) has been demonstrated in angiocentric immunoproliferative lesions, suggesting that it could be a causative factor. We investigated for the presence of EBV in 12 primary and 2 secondary cutaneous angiocentric lymphomas (CALs). OBSERVATIONS In the 2 secondary CALs, strong reactivity for EBV RNAs and latent membrane protein 1 were detected on paraffin-embedded...
