Primary and secondary school students’ career aspirations and job automation-related risks

Abstract To explore the differential impact of job automation for different groups primary and secondary school students, an analysis variance was conducted using survey data on occupational aspirations British students (aged 7–18) probability statistics derived from a model automation. Results indicated that aged 13 years old above were more than twice as likely to express aspiration associated with high risk automation, along higher proportion male lower socio-economic groups, respondents knowing someone (particularly parent) holding their desired occupation ( P < .05).
