چکیده
Background: Escherichia coli is one of the intestinal microbiota in wildlife as domestic animals and humans. The prevalent serogroups, pathogenic strains like STEC, EPEC antimicrobial resistance less frequently studied captive India. present study was aimed to prevalence resistant E. from wild a zoo Kolkata, Methods: This done during March 2019 June for faecal samples birds mammals. pathotypes STEC were detected presence stx1, stx2 eae virulence genes, respectively. Extended spectrum beta- lactamases, ampC beta-lactamases production susceptibility by standard phenotypic methods. Result: In this study, some E.coli isolates found harbouring genes ETEC EPEC. lactamases produced isolates. Most multidrug-resistant but mostly sensitive gentamicin amikacin. demonstrated that harbour potentially many antimicrobials.

Prevalence, Antimicrobial Resistance, and Molecular Characterization of Escherichia coli Isolated from Food Contact Surfaces in Seafood Pre-Processing Plants (India)
Background: The survival of pathogens in biofilms poses a threat to food safety. The aim of this study was to determine prevalence, antimicrobial resistance, and molecular characterization of Escherichia coli strains. Methods: Swab samples (n=144) were collected from biofilm formed on food contact surfaces in seafood pre-processing plant in India. E. coli was isolated and identified using uid ...
متن کاملPrevalence of Salmonella enterica and Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli in zoo animals from Chile
Salmonella (S.) enterica and Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) are foodborne pathogens. Here, we report the prevalence of S. enterica and STEC in feces of 316 zoo animals belonging to 61 species from Chile. S. enterica and STEC strains were detected in 7.5% and 4.4% of animals, respectively. All Salmonella isolates corresponded to the serotype Enteritidis. To the best of our knowled...
متن کاملPrevalence of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli in captive wildlife species of India
Campylobacteriosis is an important zoonotic disease and the prevalence of Campylobacter is largely unknown in the wildlife of India. A total of 370 samples, comprising of 314 fresh faecal samples from apparently healthy captive wild animals and birds, 30 stool swabs from animal care takers and 26 samples of the animals’ food and water were collected from G. B. Pant High Altitude Zoo, Nainital, ...

متن کاملPrevalence of plasmid-encoded carbapenemases in multi-drug resistant Escherichia coli from patients with urinary tract infection in northern Iran
Objective(s): Resistance to carbapenems as the last line for controlling resistant bacteria is increasing due to production of carbapenemase. The aim of this study was to detect the plasmid-encoded carbapenemases using phenotypic methods and multiplex PCR among the multi-drug resistant (MDR) isolates from patients with urinary tract infection (UTI) in northern Iran.<br...
