Prevalence of refractive error in children- hospital based study in Lucknow

Background: Refractive error is defined as a status of refraction. The population comprised all 5-20 years’ (78 male 119 female) age group rural area. In this compressive examination prevalence myopia and hypermetropia. assess refractive among with ‘hine retinoscopy’. Myopia considered grater or equal -0.50 hyperopia +0.50.Results: crossed section examined 78 female. uncorrected ametropia 82.2%. highly 46%, hypermetropia 5%, astigmatism 31%. significant 16-20 year age.Conclusions: fined hospital visit. Need for regular routine cheek up proper ophthalmic assessment full diet distance digital gadget.
