Prevalence of nosocomial infections in Lordegan Shohada hospital from 2017 to 2022

Introduction: Healthcare-acquired infections or nosocomial are a common problem in all countries. Objectives: The aim of this study was to conduct an epidemiological evaluation Lordegan Shohada hospital from 2017 2022. Methods: This descriptive-analytical cross-sectional. case finding based on Centers for Disease Control (CDC) definitions infection and the questionnaire Ministry Health medical treatment Iran. Cases were confirmed clinical findings tests then registered Iranian surveillance system. Results: Overall, 48343 patients at risk during period; these, 274 (0.6%) cases detected, which 132 men (48%), 142(52%) women. most type surgical site (0.33%), pneumonia (0.27%), ventilator-associated events (0.10). highest rate reported intensive care units (0.2). Conclusion: prevalence center has been low compared global norm. is not reason that majority low. important irrational use antibiotics and, therefore, hiding cases. microbial resistance increasing since issue worrying control.
