Prevalence of Hepatitis B Core Antibody in Sudanese Random Blood Donors at Khartoum state, 2022

Background: Hepatitis B virus is a DNA belonging to the Hepadnaviridae family attacking liver and can cause both acute chronic disease. The aim of this study was determine prevalence core antibody in Sudanese random blood donors.
 Materials methods: descriptive cross-sectional conducted at Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital, Khartoum, Sudan during period from May 2022 September 2022. Blood samples were collected 100 donors. A total three ml whole each participant plain tube. test done by using biochemistry analyzer (Cobas 411).
 Results: results revealed that all donors negative for HBsAg but 51% them positive HBcAb. mean average hepatitis 0.984 ± 0.950, where surface antigen 0.685± 0.170. educational background had correlation with antibody.
 Conclusion: This concluded high.
