چکیده
Background: Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) are rolled in severe infections animals and nosocomial humans. Given that other than Staphylococcus aureus often reported only as CoNS medical diagnosis laboratories, this study aimed to determine the exact species of type clinical samples. Objectives: This also evaluate antibiotic resistance, ability carry cfr, qacA/B, mecA, vanA genes, diversity staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec (SCCmec) elements mecA-carrying isolates. Methods: spp. strains were isolated from blood samples children admitted Imam Reza Hospital Bojnurd, Northeastern Iran, between 2013 - 2019. All isolates evaluated for resistance vancomycin oxacillin using agar screening routine anti-CoNS antibiotics Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method, based on latest Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines. The conventional methods polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-restriction fragment length polymorphism. PCR was applied SCCmec Results: In study, 203 confirmed belonging nine S. capitis epidermidis top two common CoNS. Type III dominant mecA+ Conclusions: findings showed cultures have a relatively high resistance. Therefore, further attention should be paid isolation these they not easily considered contamination.

Antimicrobial susceptibilities of coagulase-negative staphylococci isolated from urinary infections.
The susceptibilities of 107 urinary isolates of coagulase-negative staphylococci to 19 antibiotics was determined by an agar dilution technique. Major differences in the antimicrobial susceptibilities of species of coagulase-negative staphylococci were observed. Staphylococcus epidermidis was more resistant to a wider spectrum of antibiotics than was Staphylococcus saprophyticus.
متن کاملEpidemiology and significance of coagulase-negative staphylococci isolated in blood cultures from critically ill adult patients.
BACKGROUND Little published data are available on the epidemiology and significance of coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) in blood culture isolates among critically ill adult patients. OBJECTIVES To describe the epidemiology and frequency of CoNS blood culture isolates in critically ill adults, and investigate the association between time to positivity (TTP) of blood cultures and number ...
متن کاملPrevalence and Antimicrobial Susceptibility of Coagulase- Negative Staphylococci isolated from Bovine Mastitis
The study was carried out to investigate the prevalence and antimicrobial susceptibility of Coagulase-Negative Staphylococci isolated from Bovine Mastitis in and around Dharwad region. A total of 310 samples were screened and 180 confirmed Coagulase-Negative Staphylococci were obtained. The antimicrobial susceptibility of CoagulaseNegative Staphylococci against 10 antimicrobial agents was teste...
متن کاملHeterogeneous antimicrobial resistance patterns in polyclonal populations of coagulase-negative staphylococci isolated from catheters.
Most cases of nosocomial bacteremia are catheter related, and coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) are the microorganisms most frequently associated with these infections. Subtle morphological differences are frequently found among CoNS colonies cultured from infected catheters. The aim of this study was to analyze the significance of the morphological heterogeneity observed in these CoNS po...
متن کاملCoagulase-Negative Staphylococci Isolated from Blood Cultures: Contamination or Infection? Atherapeutic and Diagnosticchallenge
The possibility of contamination of the blood cultures, particularly by Coagulase-Negative Staphylococci (CoNS), is one of the challenges in microbiology. We performed a study from 2010 to 2015 to evaluate the percentage of CoNS arising from probable contamination and the percentage of CoNS probably responsible for sepsis. Additionally, we analysed susceptibility to antibiotics of all found mic...
