چکیده
Background: Extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) producing bacteria are a real public health problem, particularly in Africa. Among these ESBLs, there the Muenchen Cefotaximase (CTX-M) described all over world of which most frequent is CTX-M group 1 CTX-M-15 variant. The objective this study was to determine prevalence ESBL-producing Escherichia coli strains and test their antibiotics susceptibility profile. Methodology: A retrospective cross-sectional descriptive conducted detect ESBL-secreting by synergy test. Identification type ESBL from performed using NG-Test rapid diagnostic (NG-Biotech®). Antibiotic profile determined CA-SFM/EUCAST guidelines 2019. Data entry statistical analysis were with Excel version 2010 SPSS 20.0 respectively. Results: Eighty-two tested. detected 75.6% (n = 62). These highly resistant cefotaxim (100%), aztreonam ceftazidim (85.4%) cefepim (66.1%). They also quinolones, gentamycin sulfadoxine-trimethoprim combination. However, showed sensitivity ertapenem cefoxitin (69.3%), tigecyclin (66%), amikacin combination piperacillin tazobactam active on 30.6% against 6.4% for amoxicillin clavulanic acid. Conclusion: present majority colis trains. Despite production enzyme conferring resistance beta-lactam antibiotics, some remain treat infections caused germs.

Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL) Producing Enterobacteria in Aquatic Environmental Sources of Bangladesh
Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Enterobacteria has become a considerable global concern because of their potential dissemination in humans, in domestic animals, wildlife and the environment. The present study aimed to explore the ESBL producing enterobacteria in aquatic sources of Bangladesh as the water may be the potential source of dissemination of this alarming ant...
متن کاملDetection of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing strains by the Etest ESBL screen.
Resistance to contemporary broad-spectrum beta-lactams, mediated by extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) enzymes, is an increasing problem worldwide. The Etest (AB Biodisk, Solna, Sweden) ESBL screen uses stable gradient technology to evaluate the MIC of ceftazidime alone compared with the MIC of ceftazidime with clavulanic acid (2 micrograms/ml) to facilitate the recognition of strains expr...
متن کاملLiver abscess caused by CTX-M-55-type extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Salmonella enteritidis.
Liver abscesses secondary to Salmonella species are rarely described in the general population. We herein describe a case of a liver abscess caused by CTX-M-55-type extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Salmonella enteritidis, which has not been reported in the literature. A 54-year-old male was admitted due to a high fever and was clinically diagnosed with a liver abscess. Culture of ...
متن کاملMultiplex PCR for bla(CTX-M) & bla(SHV) in the extended spectrum beta lactamase (ESBL) producing gram-negative isolates.
BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE Phenotyping is commonly used for detection of extended spectrum beta lactamase (ESBL) production in gram-negative isolates. ESBLs are mainly coded for by three important genes, namely bla(TEM), bla(SHV) and bla(CTX-M). In this study we used a multiplex PCR as a rapid method to identify two common genes (bla(CTX-M) & bla(SHV)) responsible for extended spectrum beta lactama...
