چکیده

Abstract Objective In Japan, while it is known that underweight women over the age of 40 years have a high risk for type 2 diabetes, there lack clarity on association between glucose tolerance and in younger women. Accordingly, we investigate prevalence features impaired (IGT) young Japanese Designs Methods this cross-sectional study, recruited 56 normal weight 98 evaluated their levels using an oral test. Then, compared clinical characteristics associated with (NGT) IGT Insulin secretion, whole-body insulin sensitivity, adipose tissue resistance values were measured insulinogenic index, sensitivity index (Matsuda index), (Adipo-IR), respectively. Fitness level (peak VO2) was ergometer. Results The higher than (13.3% vs 1.8%). showed lower peak VO2, Matsuda fasting free fatty acid Adipo-IR those NGT. composition comparable NGT groups. Conclusions weight. early-phase low fitness levels, reduced levels.
