Prevalence and Correlates of the Estrogen and Progesterone Receptors (ER/PR), Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor-2 (HER-2) and P53 in Breast Cancer: a Cross-Sectional Study

چکیده
Background & Objective: Breast cancer has a pivotal role in many deaths caused by malignancies. Epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (EGFR-2 or HER-2) and estrogen receptor (ER) have immense predictive values as prognostic factors. cancers that steroid receptors respond to hormone therapy show better prognosis than without receptors.Materials Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional study was performed on 500 pathology blocks of women with breast sent the department Amir-al-Momenin medical educational center, Gerash, Iran, from 2016 2019. Data were analyzed SPSS software (Version-16) via ANOVA test followed Chi-square t-tests. P-value <0.05 considered significant. Results: The utmost type malignancy invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) at 35.03%. Among ER-positive patients 59.67% HER-2-positive. Nonetheless, among PR-positive 54.74% correlated p53 receptor, distant metastasis HER-2 significantly (P < /i><0.01). However, just /i><0.01).Conclusion: Investigated samples more ER-negative less compared similar studies. Meanwhile, Regarding correlation cancer, especially HER-2-positive patients, there is need perform profound screening programs for histopathological characteristics carcinoma.

Introduction: Overexpression of Human Epidermal Growth factor Receptor-2 (HER-2) is one of the most important prognostic and predictive factors of breast cancer, observed in 25% - 30% of breast carcinoma patients leading to poor prognosis and feasible anti HER-2 antibody drugs. The objective of this study was to evaluate the HER-2 frequency in target population and its correlat...

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, containing approximately one third of all illnesses in women. Assessment of molecular markers is valuable in predicting the outcome of disease and decision making for optimal treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between estrogen and progesterone receptors with Her-2, Ki67, P53, and clinicopathologica...

INTRODUCTION Estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2) expression are crucial in the biology of breast carcinoma. HER-2/neu gene is amplified and overexpressed in 15-30% of invasive breast cancers. HER-2-positive breast cancers have worse prognosis than HER-2 negative tumors and possess distinctive clinical features. The aim of this ...

Background &Objectives;: Evaluation of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), and (human epidermal growth factor receptor-2) Her-2 on core needle biopsies (CNBs) is increasingly in use to diagnosis early breast cancer, but its concordance with surgical excision (SE) is not well documented. Methods: The study ...
