PREVALENCE AND ASSOCIATED FACTORS OF ANEMIA AMONG UNDER FIVE YEARS OLD CHILDREN WHO ATTENDED SPINGHAR MOMAND CURATIVE AND TEACHING HOSPITAL, JALALABAD CITY

Introduction: When the amount of hemoglobin in blood is less than two SD (standard deviation) for a specific age and sex, or when red cells peripheral below normal level, it called anemia. Blood deficiency common global health problem children. Materials Methods: This research has been conducted descriptive manner which 200 patients referred to Spinghar Momand Curative Teaching Hospital from 2022 2023 were target population. Their was taken into consideration on basis age, sex severity disease. Results: The results showed that overall incidences anemia 108 (54%). cases 75 (69.4%) males 33 (30.5%) females. Based location, 99 (91.6%) Nangarhar Province, 8 (7.4%) Laghman Province 1 (0.92%) children Kunar Province. disease 45 (41.6%) five-year-old had mild anemia, 59 (54.6%), moderate 4 (3.7%) severe result laboratory tests mean corpuscular volume (MCV), (HB) hematocrit test (Hct) have changed significantly, but RDW (Red Cell Distribution Width) not much.
