چکیده
The canned food market is growing at an annually average rate of 3.6% due to easy access and awareness dietary requirements, leading a surge in water withdrawal estimated supply-demand gap 40% by 2030. conventional desalination processes are not sustainable high energy requirements chemicals injection. adsorption cycle emerging technology for its temperature operation. It has many advantages over including integration synergy improve overall performance. AD processes, however, have lower performance inefficient packing adsorbent the beds heat transfer losses their massive exchangers. In this article, we propose innovative pressure driven (PDAD) overcome limitations. PDAD, firstly, low steam used regenerate which eliminates huge infrastructure requirement circulation secondly, selectively extracts vapours from pores, reducing consumption. We tested PDAD pilot showed successful regeneration silica gel motive 2–5 bar. also demonstrate that discharge 65 °C can be as source multi effect system when operating hybrid mode operational Our experiments show MED + increases production up 22% compared earlier MEDAD cycle. proposed excellent thermodynamic with combined CCGT power plant, where low-pressure bleed utilized more efficiently.

Solar-Driven Integrated Ro/Nf For Water Desalination
This article presents an experimental study where two different modules are integrated, i.e. a reverse osmosis (RO) module, and a nanofiltration (NF) module, for brackish water desalination unit. Photovoltaic (PV) panels power the setup. The performance for each of the modules was evaluated separately. Then both modules were integrated together, either in series or in parallel. The performance ...
متن کاملMicrobial desalination cell with capacitive adsorption for ion migration control.
A new microbial desalination cell with capacitive adsorption capability (cMDC) was developed to solve the ion migration problem facing current MDC systems. Traditional MDCs remove salts by transferring ions to the anode and cathode chambers, which may prohibit wastewater beneficial reuse due to increased salinity. The cMDC uses adsorptive activated carbon cloth (ACC) as the electrodes and utili...
متن کاملCost and performance analysis of an integrated solar combined cycle with two tanks for indirect thermal energy storage
In this paper, the annual and economic performance of an integrated solar combined cycle (ISCC) with indirect energy storage tanks is investigated. The study includes four scenarios, in which the combined cycle performance was studied exclusively in the first scenario. In the second scenario, the integrated solar combined cycle (ISCC) was examined, and the use of supplementary firing instead of...
متن کاملOptimization of multi-pressure himidification- dehumidification desalination using thermal vapor compression and hybridization
Humidification-dehumidification (HD or HDH) desalination, and specifically HD driven by a thermal vapor compressor (TVC), is a thermal desalination method that has the potential to produce potable water efficiently in order to address the growing demand for water. This article presents a numerical study and optimization of two HD-TVC cycle configurations in order to determine the best achievabl...
متن کاملProposal and analysis of a dual-purpose system integrating a chemically recuperated gas turbine cycle with thermal seawater desalination
A novel cogeneration system is proposed for power generation and seawater desalination. It combines the CRGT (chemically recuperated gas turbine) with the MED-TVC (multi-effect thermal vapor compression desalination) system. The CRGT contains a MSR (methane-steam reformer). The produced syngas includes plenty of steam and hydrogen, so theworkingmedium flow increases and NOx emissions can achiev...
