چکیده
Foodborne diseases and infection caused by associated pathogens is a public health concern. Majority of the investigations focus on common foodborne like Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Shigella, Salmonella Staphylococcus aureus. Limited knowledge has been accounted Klebsiella pneumoniae. Presence multidrug-resistant K. pneumoniae in food supply disturbing. Hence, this study assessed presence isolates from samples (fresh vegetables chicken), ascertained drug-resistant phenotypes, extended spectrum beta lactamase production, antibiotic resistance determinants, genes with virulence their ability to form biofilm. Resistance towards ceftazidime tetracycline was noted among all study, while they exhibited sensitivity chloramphenicol co-trimoxazole. All were potent ESBL producers carrying at least one encoding genes. Plasmid mediated quinolone gene detected isolate each onion chicken respectively. The marked absence Multiple (ureA, khe, fimH, mrkD, wabG, uge elt) possessed isolates. cucumber moderate biofilm formers those tomato weak formation. Increased expression mrkA reduction forming fimH observed formers. One non-biofilm increased mrkD expression. results our stipulate, that raw meat serve as dormant source virulent

High Prevalence of CTXM-15 Type Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase Among Clinical Isolates of Klebsiella Pneumoniae
Background: Production of β–lactamases by enterobacteriacea, especially Klebsiella pneumoniae, is one of the emerging health problems in the world. The purpose of this study was to assess the frequency of blaCTX-M15 gene in K. pneumoniae isolates and determine the molecular diversity of CTXM producing isolates. Methods: In...
متن کاملAssociation between Virulence Factors and Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamase Producing Klebsiella pneumoniae Compared to Nonproducing Isolates
Klebsiella pneumoniae is considered an important opportunistic multidrug-resistant pathogen. Extended spectrum β-lactamases (ESBLs) and expression of a multitude of virulence factors may work in a harmony resulting in treatment failure. This study was undertaken to compare the virulence characteristics and genetic relatedness between ESBL and non-ESBL producing K. pneumoniae. Methods. Antibioti...

متن کاملPhenotypic and genotypic studies of extended spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) resistance among Salmonella isolates from poultry sources in Iran
BACKGROUND: Poultry and poultry products are among the major sources of Salmonella infections for humans. Increasing occurrence of antimicrobial resistance among Salmonellae has become a serious public health concern. The detection of extended spectrum b-lactamase (ESBL) producers among Salmonella spp. has increased in recent years. OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study was to investigate the a...
متن کاملPrevalence of qnr Genes in Extended-Spectrum β-Lactamase Producing Klebsiella pneumoniae Isolated from Clinical Urine Specimens in University Teaching Hospitals, Iran
Background and Aims: Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) producing gram negative bacteria are resistant to penicillins, narrow and extended-spectrum cephalosporins, and aztreonam; also they are frequently resistant to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, aminoglycosides, and quinolones. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance (PMQR) determinants q...
