PRESCHOOL TEACHERS’ BELIEFS ABOUT CREATIVITY AND CHILDREN’S CREATIVENESS

The aim of this study was to determine what beliefs preschool teachers hold about creativity in general and children’s creativeness. A total 366 teaching assistants participated the survey, by completing a questionnaire designed for purposes Slovenia. results show that participants predominantly believe is innate, it characteristic all people, can be developed, some specific areas, such as arts. Participants also children are creative, but not at same level areas. They agree need motivation express develop their creativity, which indicates an awareness importance encouraging creativity. An analysis different views on among shows differences perception creativeness It follows longer training provide only more knowledge sense competence working with children, possibility over-structured, curriculum-constrained pre-determined framework seeing child.
