چکیده
Biosynthetically-produced Pseudomonas poly-3-hydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) are a promising substitute for conventional plastics. Costs involved with the production of PHAs can be reduced by optimizing power consumption, which achieved using nutrient media without preliminary steam sterilization. Cultivation bacteria resistant to sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) on SDS-containing non-sterile yields biomass consisting predominantly PHA producer. SDS plays role an antimicrobial agent that inhibits growth foreign microorganisms. In this work, SDS-resistant culture helmanticensis and containing glycerol were used. The concentrations carbon (glycerol) nitrogen sources optimized experiment performed according central composite rotatable design. concentration substrate C C/N ratio between content varied. dependence degree conversion in was derived R programming environment. constructed model adequately describes experimental data at significance level 0.05 (adequacy variance regression equation 4.1×10 -2 ; 2 =0.98). According model, equals 6.9±0.4%. Under conditions (0.61 g/L source; 8.4 glycerol; 96 h), P. converts 7.0% average monomer unit length. Using 16S rRNA metagenomic assay, proportion cultures 0.5 shown 2%.

Bacterial Utilization of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate
SDS is widely used detergent in house holds and Industry. It is known to be toxic to fishes and also to animals. In the present review, we have emphasized on biodegradation of this detergent by bacteria, the pathway of biodegradation and also the enzymes involved in the degradation.
متن کاملSodium dodecyl sulfate-glycerol polyacrylamide slab gel electrophoresis for the resolution of apolipoproteins.
We describe the resolution of the plasma apolipoproteins with molecular weights from 8,800 to greater than 550,000, using a 3.5% sodium dodecyl sulfate-glycerol polyacrylamide slab gel system. The simplicity of this system and the resolution of proteins over a broad range of molecular weights will make it particularly useful in investigations of apolipoprotein composition of plasma lipoproteins.
متن کاملToxicological effects of sodium dodecyl sulfate
The mass production and application of chemicals in different areas of plant and animal sciences cause a serious contamination to the immediate environment. Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) is also known as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and commonly used in household, kitchen and laundry uses as a detergent ingredient and others. The description of SDS is important because it is now entered into the ...
متن کاملRelationship between Micellar Lifetime and Foamability of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate and Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate/ 1-Hexanol Mixtures
The interface between air and surfactant solution expands rapidly during the foam generation process. Surfactant molecules in the solution should adsorb onto the newly created surface to stabilize foam. As surfactant monomers adsorb on the surface, micelles disintegrate to provide additional monomers to adsorb on the expanding interface of foam. If micelles are very stable, they cannot rapidly ...

Mixed micelles of l,2-diheptanoyl-sn-grycero-3-phosphocholine (DHPC) with ionic detergents were prepared to develop well characterized substrates for the study of lipolytic enzymes. The aggregates that formed on mixing DHPC with the anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and with the positively charged dodecyl trimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) were investigated using time-resolved fluor...
