Preparation of GO/MIL-101(Fe,Cu) composite and its adsorption mechanisms for phosphate in aqueous solution

In this study, MIL-101(Fe), MIL-101(Fe,Cu), and graphene oxide (GO)/MIL-101(Fe,Cu) were synthesized to compose a novel sorbent. The adsorption properties of these three MOF-based composites compared toward the removal phosphate. Furthermore, influencing factors including time, pH, temperature, initial concentration on capacity phosphate materials as well reusability material discussed. structure fabricated mechanism composite analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoelectron (XPS), nitrogen adsorption-desorption analysis, zeta potential. results show that maximum GO/MIL-101(Fe,Cu)-2% was 204.60 mg·g?1, which is higher than MIL-101(Fe,Cu) MIL-101(Fe). likewise specific surface area 778.11 m2/g MIL-101(Fe,Cuand MIL-101(Fe),which are 747.75 510.66 m2/g, respectively. electrostatic attraction, forming coordination bonds hydrogen bonds. promising adsorbent for with good reusability.
