Preparation and Characterization of Lauric–Myristic Acid/Expanded Graphite as Composite Phase Change Energy Storage Material

نویسندگان

چکیده

Lauric acid (LA) and myristic (MA) were used to prepare a binary eutectic mixture. The expanded graphite (EG) was as the carrier, lauric–myristic acid/expanded (LA–MA/EG) composite phase change material prepared by physical adsorption method. microstructure, chemical structure, thermal properties of LA–MA/EG characterized scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential calorimeter (DSC), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), conductivity measurement. experimental results have shown that maximum mass ratio mixture in energy-storing 92.2%, there mixing has no reaction between LA–MA EG. fusion point temperature 33.4°C, solidification 33.8°C, latent heat 171.1 J/g, which suitable for building energy storage field. After several cycles, potential materials very small, it still good performance.

Microencapsulation of Butyl Stearate as Phase Change Material by Melamine Formaldehyde Shell for Thermal Energy Storage

Butyl stearate as a phase change material was microencapsulated within melamine-formaldehyde resin using emulsion polymerization. Morphology and thermal specification of produced microcapsules were studied by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, FT-IR, scanning electron microscopy, SEM, and Differential scanning calorimetry analysis, DSC. FT-IR spectra validated the existence of the butyl s...

Design and Preparation of Carbon Based Composite Phase Change Material for Energy Piles

Energy piles-A fairly new renewable energy concept-Use a ground heat exchanger (GHE) in the foundation piles to supply heating and cooling loads to the supported building. Applying phase change materials (PCMs) to piles can help in maintaining a stable temperature within the piles and can then influence the axial load acting on the piles. In this study, two kinds of carbon-based composite PCMs ...
