Preparation and characterization of a novel emphatically charged strengthened chitosan composite nanofiltration membrane

In this paper, chitosan was grafted with acrylic acid and positively charged elements, a series of reinforced nanofiltration membranes were prepared by coating modified polymer polysulfone ultrafiltration membrane as support. The structure derivatives polymers characterized infrared spectrum, the scanning electron microscope atomic force microscope. performance composite closely related to electrical properties elements. rejection rate 50% molar ratio CaCl2 reached 97.4%. corresponding flux is 430.7 Lm-2h-1. retention order was: > NaCl Na2SO4. tensile strength increased 27.3%. Acid resistance (5%HCl)) improved 50.5%. Alkali (5%NaOH) 42.2%. results showed that positive charge enhanced had excellent performance. effect no on Na2SO4, but significant CaCl2. typical suitable for separating high-valent cations from weak acids or bases.
