چکیده
Introduction: Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is a frequent complication and one of the most debilitating manifestations liver cirrhosis, which negatively impacts patient survival. This study aims to identify factors influencing treatment response in patients with cirrhosis HE.
Method: was prospective observational conducted from July 2019 June 2020 tertiary referral center Nepal. The ethical clearance obtained Institutional Review Board (Reference No. 46/076/77). Patients Liver HE grade II or more were included. Standard medical therapy for given all patients, first five days post admission recorded. categorized as good response, no deterioration, based on improvement deterioration patient`s symptoms changes West Haven criteria.
Result: In this total 78 enrolled included final analysis. mean age 50.17± 10.36 years 63(80.76%) male. Alcohol etiology 62(79.5%). Seventy two (92.3%) had treatment, 3(3.8 %) rest 3(3.8%) deteriorated. On logistic regression, high creatinine, bilirubin low serum protein predictors non-response standard (p<0.05).
 Conclusion: High Cirrhosis Encephalopathy.

Altered Modular Organization of Functional Connectivity Networks in Cirrhotic Patients without Overt Hepatic Encephalopathy
Minimal hepatic encephalopathy (MHE) is associated with changes in functional connectivity. To investigate the patterns of modular changes of the functional connectivity in the progression of MHE, resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging was acquired in 24 MHE patients, 31 cirrhotic patients without minimal hepatic encephalopathy (non-HE), and 38 healthy controls. Newman's metric, th...

Objective Patients with cirrhosis often exhibit cognitive deficits, particularly executive dysfunction, which is considered a predictor of overt hepatic encephalopathy (OHE). We examined brain intrinsic networks associated with executive function to investigate the neural basis of this cognitive deficiency in cirrhosis. Methods Resting-state functional MRI data were acquired from 20 cirrhotic...

Background. Minimal hepatic encephalopathy (MHE) has implications for health-related quality of life as well as for survival of cirrhotic patients, but a standardized diagnostic test is not available. Objective. To determine the prevalence of MHE among cirrhotic patients by using the psychometric hepatic encephalopathy score (PHES) system and the critical flicker frequency (CFF) test to diagnos...

Minimal hepatic encephalopathy (MHE) is a common cognitive disorder in cirrhotic patients, but is clinically asymptomatic. In Japan, It can be diagnosed by computer-based simple neuropsychiatric test with high specificity. Moreover, we recently established much more available and routine screening tool of MHE, using chronic liver disease questionnaire (CLDQ), from the viewpoint of less timecons...
