چکیده
Aim Characteristics of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) that persist into old age are often confused with symptoms mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and the actual rate probable ADHD in people MCI is unknown. This study estimated proportion patients investigated factors to identify ADHD. Methods We recruited 36 elderly (11 males, 25 females, mean 72.4 ± 7.6 years) who met criteria. The were classified as those [MCI/ADHD (+)] without (−)] ADHD, according Wender Utah Rating Scale scores. autism features, inattention, features during childhood current periods, intelligence quotient, demographic data compared between groups. Multiple logistic regression analysis was performed MCI/ADHD (+) patients. Results Nine (25.0%) 27 added (−) groups, respectively. group mostly comprised men, visited clinic at a younger age, had more years schooling, strong spectrum tendencies. indicated male sex significant predictors Conclusion A quarter Male time diagnosis might help predicting However, these results obtained from single-center, small-case should be confirmed via longitudinal studies large number cases.

The underlying defects in ADHD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) are not yet clear. The current paper tests three existing theories: State Regulation, Cognitive Deficit, and Temporal Difference (TD) learning. We present computational simulations of the Matching Familiar Figures Task and compare these with the experimental results reported by Sonuga-Barke (2002). The TD model contains f...

Studies of cognitive control in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have emphasized the ability to suppress motor responses (i.e., behavioral inhibition) rather than the ability to actively suppress prepotent mental representations (i.e., cognitive inhibition). Further, working memory deficits are suspected in ADHD, yet their distinction from cognitive inhibition is unclear. Two hun...
