Prediction of Model Distortion by FEM in 3D Printing via the Selective Laser Melting of Stainless Steel AISI 316L

This paper deals with an experimental analysis of stress prediction and simulation prior to 3D printing via the selective laser melting (SLM) method subsequent separation a printed sample from base plate in two software programs, ANSYS Addictive Suite MSC Simufact Additive. Practical verification was performed on 3Dprinted topologically optimized part made AISI 316L stainless steel. presents typical workflow for working metallic technology state-of-the-art knowledge field components. The emphasizes role additive production reflects their weaknesses strengths as well, regard use not only science research but also practice.
