چکیده
The outer surface of the tube is worn under interaction between velocity difference and rolling pressure, in process circular into a rectangular tube. In order to predict wear depth, according characteristics roll forming, causes forming are analyzed. finite element model was established based on Archard theory, 40 mm × 27.5 3 SUS304 stainless steel simulated. simulated results were compared with test tubes same size material, areas found be highly consistent, which verified accuracy model. effects friction coefficient flat roller angular simulation depth analyzed, regression by response method. showed that had greatest effect depth; moreover, second, vertical lowest. minimum value optimized, optimization scheme optimized value, error two values less than 5%, correctness after reduced 64.69% before optimization, effectiveness results.

A Roll Wear Prediction Model in Hot Plate Rolling
In this paper, the wear of work roll in hot plate rolling is introduced and the parameters affecting wear mechanisms in hot strip mill are investigated. In addition, different wear mechanisms in hot rolling and the differences between these mechanisms in different stands are explained. Using the finite element method and the rolling equations, a work roll wear model is proposed. Wear is modeled...

The wear of the focusing tube is a very important feature of the abrasive water jet machining. Of all rejected focusing tubes, 85% are worn. Similary, the age of focusing tube influences the cut geometry and quality of machined surface. With regard to the stated, wearing of the focusing tube is subject of this paper. Focusing tube outlet diameter was measured as well as its influence on the sur...
متن کاملStress Analysis and Energy Estimation in Cold-Roll Forming Process
In this article, stress analysis and energy estimation during cold-roll forming of symmetrical channel sections have been discussed. Geometry of sheet strip is pre-estimated by a shape function. Then longitudinal, transversal and shear strains have been calculated. Using both the Levy-Mises and the Prandtl Reuss equations, and also considering the Bauschinger effect, stress distributions have b...
متن کاملAnalysis of Roll Wear in Reshaping Using Finite Element Simulation
Reshaping process is a widely used method for producing tubes with non-circular cross sections. Owing to the friction between pipe and rolls, initial round pipe moves forward and consequently, it gradually formed into square or rectangular one. In practice, geometric profile of the rolls will be changed after a while. These changes would be detrimental the production of faultless products. Ther...
