چکیده
Background: Ovarian cancers are 3rd most common in females India as of Globocan 2018. Preoperative differentiation between malignant and benign adnexal masses is necessary for choosing appropriate treatment both. Risk malignancy index (RMI) a scoring system based on the combination sonographic findings, menopausal status, serum levels CA 125. “IOTA Simple Rules” preoperative USG-based classification ovarian tumors, consisting B-features, M-features.Objective: To compare diagnostic accuracy International Tumor Analysis (IOTA) simple rules risk to discriminate masses.Methodology: A retrospective study, those women who fulfill inclusion criteria were subjected study. All recruited participants underwent either transabdominal or transvaginal ultrasound examination, both prior surgery. Ultrasound features used IOTA rules, RMI scoring, histopathology reports retrospectively collected from stored computerized database results analysed. Results: Of 75 masses, 70 (93.3%) pathologically benign, 4 (5.3%) 1 (1.3%) was borderline. The sensitivity specificity (100% 97.14%, respectively) significantly higher than (40% 94%) respectively. Conclusion: have good when comparing with RMI, identifying masses. can be day today practice assessing an mass.

OBJECTIVE To estimate the accuracy of preoperative ultrasonography, serum CA 125, and patient demographics as a means of predicting risk of malignancy in women with a ultrasonographically confirmed adnexal mass. METHODS Tumor morphology derived from ultrasonographic images, tumor size, tumor bilaterality, serum CA 125, and patient demographics were evaluated preoperatively in 395 patients und...

results: the only significant difference was the older age of the malignant group vs. benign group (p = 0.001) regarding demographic findings. as concerns the clinical symptoms, presence of abdominal discomfort in pre-diagnosis period was the only significant parameter in malignant group (p = 0.001). additionally, data analysis of patients as a total group showed that specificity (96.4%), posit...

BACKGROUND Differentiation between benign and malignant ovarian neoplasms is essential to create a system for patient referrals. OBJECTIVES The aim of the present prospective trial was to analyze the value of the risk of ovarian malignancy algorithm (ROMA) in prediction of adnexal masses malignancy in pre- and post-menopause women before operation. MATERIALS AND METHODS Preoperative serum s...

STUDY QUESTION What are the frequency of, and the prognosis for, ovarian malignancies among patients who have undergone laparoscopic surgery for an adnexal mass? SUMMARY ANSWER The rate of unexpected ovarian malignancy resected by laparoscopy was 1.5%, and the presence of an early-stage unexpected ovarian malignancy did not alter patient prognosis. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY Even when laparoscop...

PURPOSE To prospectively test the mathematical models for calculation of the risk of malignancy in adnexal masses that were developed on the International Ovarian Tumor Analysis (IOTA) phase 1 data set on a new data set and to compare their performance with that of pattern recognition, our standard method. METHODS Three IOTA centers included 507 new patients who all underwent a transvaginal u...
