Precision Medicine and Pharmacogenetics: Stratification and Improved Outcome in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

چکیده
Lung cancer is the most common globally, accounting for a quarter of all cancer-related deaths. Non-small cell lung (NSCLC) major subtype. Research in last few decades has led to identification key molecular targets resulting targeted therapies, such as use tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) targeting epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR). EGFR-TKIs themselves have evolved through generations based on knowledge gained from gene mutations EGFR leading therapy resistance. As part pharmacogenetics, it well known that patients often respond differentially different their genetic makeup. This opened up avenues precision medicine treatment NSCLC with and optimum strategy. Since time essence, critical be administered they are likely to. Evolving data validates this notion expected an approach will invariably lead improved patient outcomes.

Imprecision in the Era of Precision Medicine in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Over the past decade, major advances have been made in the management of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). There has been a particular focus on the identification and targeting of putative driver aberrations, which has propelled NSCLC to the forefront of precision medicine. Several novel molecularly targeted agents have now achieved regulatory approval, while many others are currentl...

Introduction: Streptomyces manage the osmotic stress by collecting compatible solutes or osmolytes. Ectoine, 1,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2-methyl-4-pyrimidine carboxylic acid, and 5-hydroxyectoine are among the most common osmolytes of this bacteria and have an active role in protecting the genetic material of this microorganism as well as providing resistance to environmental pressures. In this researc...

متن کاملGenomic profiling toward precision medicine in non-small cell lung cancer: getting beyond EGFR
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. The application of next-generation genomic technologies has offered a more comprehensive look at the mutational landscape across the different subtypes of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A number of recurrent mutations such as TP53, KRAS, and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) have been identified in NSCLC. Wh...
متن کاملToward precision medicine with next-generation EGFR inhibitors in non-small-cell lung cancer
The use of genomics to discover novel targets and biomarkers has placed the field of oncology at the forefront of precision medicine. First-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitors have transformed the therapeutic landscape of EGFR mutant non-small-cell lung carcinoma through the genetic stratification of tumors from patients with this disease. Somatic EGFR mutations in lun...
