Pre-Conceptual Guidelines for Men: A Review of Male Infertility Experience, including Nutrition and Lifestyle Factors

Male fertility is declining and affects approximately one in seven couples. Reasons for this are multi-factorial the subject of on-going research, though environmental contaminants (such xenoestrogens) believed to be contributory factors. Semen parameters can improved through a healthy diet nutritional supplementation has also been shown improve semen parameters, clinical pregnancy live birth rates significantly. Despite this, medical care dietary modification beyond alcohol reduction rarely recommended. The aim review was consider psychosocial impacts infertility males whilst assessing other lifestyle interventions that used personalized nutrition care. More tailored needs taboo surrounding male experience. A systematic approach used. Three electronic databases (CINAHL, Medline Academic Search Complete) were searched using predetermined Boolean search terms identified 125 papers review.
