To accommodate the demands of a data-driven society, we have expanded our ability to collect and store data, develop sophisticated algorithms, generate elaborated visual representations data analysis process outcomes. However, preprocessing, as activity transforming raw into an appropriate format for subsequent analysis, is still challenging part this process. Although can find studies that address use visualization techniques support activities in scope current Visual Analytics processes do not consider preprocessing equally important phase their processes. Hence, with paper, aim contribute discussion how incorporate prominent promote better alternatives assist analysts during activities. achieve that, are introducing Preprocessing Profiling Approach (PrAVA), conceptual includes new phase.
