PP148 The Impact Of Health Technology Wales Guidance For Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: Two Years Post-Publication

Introduction Evaluating the impact of health technology assessment (HTA) is vital to measure its contribution and social care decision-making improving citizen outcomes. Health Technology Wales (HTW) a HTA body committed evaluating our work. Here we present HTW’s evaluation approach with case study for autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT) highly active relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). Methods Using an outcomes-focused based on analysis, HTW has worked external organization develop framework Data was collected from both qualitative quantitative sources, including media metrics, surveys, informal feedback stakeholders. We engaged various stakeholders, clinicians, academics, patient organizations other bodies. Results The appraisal guidance were published in July 2020, recommending AHSCT routine adoption treat RRMS. Patient groups welcomed findings as important step forward recognising needs people RRMS felt that “people living MS listened throughout process”. Following publication online, had approximately 500 views, featured Trust website several news articles. Welsh Specialist Services Committee, commissioning Wales, recommended ‘high priority’ funding WHSSC Integrated Commissioning Plan 2021-22.
