چکیده

This paper presents a potentiometric biosensor for the detection of amyloid β-42 (Aβ-42) in point-of-care analysis. approach is based on molecular imprint polymer (MIP) technique, which uses covalently immobilised Aβ-42 to create specific cavities surface single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs). The was prepared by binding SWCNT and then imprinting it adding acrylamide (monomer), N,N′-methylene-bis-acrylamide (crosslinker) ammonium persulphate (initiator). target peptide removed from matrix proteolytic action an enzyme (proteinase K). presence sites confirmed comparing MIP-modified with negative control (NIP) consisting similar material where molecule had been process. ability sensing rebind demonstrated incorporating MIP as electroactive compound PVC/plasticiser mixture applied solid conductive support graphite. All steps synthesis imprinted materials were followed Raman spectroscopy Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). analytical performance evaluated transduction, showed cationic slopes 75 mV-decade−1 buffer pH 8.0 limit 0.72 μg/mL. Overall, transduction that sensor can discriminate other biomolecules same solution.

A Potentiometric Flow Biosensor Based on Ammonia-Oxidizing Bacteria for the Detection of Toxicity in Water

A flow biosensor for the detection of toxicity in water using the ammonia-oxidizing bacterium (AOB) Nitrosomonas europaea as a bioreceptor and a polymeric membrane ammonium-selective electrode as a transducer is described. The system is based on the inhibition effects of toxicants on the activity of AOB, which can be evaluated by measuring the ammonium consumption rates with the ammonium-select...

Dual amperometric–potentiometric biosensor detection system for monitoring organophosphorus neurotoxins

A dual-transducer flow-injection biosensor detection system for monitoring organophosphorus (OP) neurotoxins is described. Such simultaneous use of different physical transducers in connection to the same (organophosphorous hydrolase (OPH)) enzyme enhances the information content and provides discrimination between various subclasses of OP compounds. While the potentiometric biosensor responds ...

A Urea Potentiometric Biosensor Based on a Thiophene Copolymer

A potentiometric enzyme biosensor is a convenient detector for quantification of urea concentrations in industrial processes, or for monitoring patients with diabetes, kidney damage or liver malfunction. In this work, poly(3-hexylthiophene-co-3-thiopheneacetic acid) (P(3HT-co-3TAA)) was chemically synthesized, characterized and spin-coated onto conductive indium tin oxide (ITO) glass electrodes...

Development of a monoclonal antibody based potentiometric biosensor for terbuthylazine detection

In the present paper a new potentiometric biosensor for terbuthylazine (TBA, a herbicide widely utilized in agriculture) suitable for this determination in water samples is shown. As previously described, monoclonal antibody (mAb) showing high specificity for the analyte was utilized as biological element to perform the biosensor assay. A light addressable potentiometric sensor (LAPS), measurin...
