چکیده

The review summarizes the potential, distribution and origin of Lablab purpureus. Forage legume has potentials for production productivities arable land by suppling nitrogen living organisms in soil those allowed to obtain their own feed symbiotic relationships. Further become fertile next cropping season even at time intercropping yield would be improved than mono-cropping systems. It also supplies protein requirement livestock human consumption as vegetable or seed sources. is summer growing annual trifoliate forage legume. lablab considered Africa because large parts tropical wild type cultivated exists. Then it heavily distributed corner side continent Southeast Asia production. Even though initiated African applicability degree uses species were not well recognized across countries continent. Therefore further conservation evaluation this dual purpose give priority governmental non-governmental bodies.

Seasonal Influence on Yield and Yield Contributing Characters of Lablab Bean [Lablab purpureus (L.) Sweet]

A study was conducted to evaluate the seasonal influence on yield and yield contributing characters of four lablab bean genotypes: IPSA Seam-1, IPSA Seam-2, BU Seam-3 and JER during September 2000 to December 2001 covering one main season (winter) and two off-seasons (early summer and late summer). Compared to off-seasons, all the genotypes performed better for all the parameters during winter....

Microsatellite analysis of selected Lablab purpureus genotypes in Kenya

Lablab (Lablab Purpureus) is a legume of high nutritional value and broad social acceptance ranging from human food to soil fertility improvement to foarge. Information on genetic worth and diversity of lablab genotypes in Kenya is scanty and this is a great impediment to the improvement of the crop hence its utilization. This research was conducted to determine genetic diversity in lablab germ...
