Potentials and Limitations of Educational Videos on YouTube for Science Communication

چکیده
YouTube has become a complement learning platform which fosters on demand with educational videos. Educational videos are understood as fruitful strategy to enhance the user’s knowledge and applied in schools, well science communication, e.g., inform about climate change. This paper discusses two perspectives visible current research literature YouTube. First, studies assume that watching changes attitude or behavior of recipients. Second, question whether have higher impact than other information materials such texts. We frame both regard theories from media effect concepts education discuss their conclusions for will first focus students target group videos, but further course, we results public targeted communication well. In final section summarize potentials limitations purposes communication.
