POTENTIAL FOR PRODUCING STANDARD COMPOST FROM BEEF CATTLE AND CORN WASTES

چکیده
The success of the corn agro-industry is greatly influenced by fertilizeravailability. A notable effort to support that situation increase compost production through utilization and processing beef cattle wastes. Thisresearch proposed produce from wastes following Indonesian National Standard (SNI). composting process was carried out preparing several materials consisting manure (BCM), wet/dry stover (WS/DS), EM4 solution. These were fermented anaerobically, then checked stirred every three days. The fermentation stopped after 40 days. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) five levels treatments, namely P0, P1, P2, P3, P4, with replications. parameters observed characteristics waste, physical feature compost, nutrient content (yield, water content, pH, P2O5, K2O, organic C, total N, C/N ratio). P2 treatment (BCM:WS:DS:EM4 =1:2:1:1) produced best characteristics, blackish brown color crumbly slightly sour aroma. yield obtained 32.95%, 10.08%, pH 5.59, P2O5was 0.50%, K2O 1.26%, C 52.34%, N 1.34% ratio 39.06. are under SNI cheap, practical in manufacture application field, environmentally friendly.

Proposed Beef Cattle Manure Excretion and Characteristics Standard for ASAE
A committee was formed consisting of both animal scientists and agricultural engineers to evaluate and update current ASAE standards. An intake minus retention model was developed to estimate nutrient excretion. This approach allows users (producers, engineers, etc.) to develop site specific information based on known variables such as protein or phosphorus content of diets and cattle performan...

Introduction The production of ethanol from corn grain has become an effective strategy to produce high quality and clean liquid transportation fuels. In fact, the growth of the U.S ethanol industry has provided an economic stimulus for U.S.-based agriculture. The feed industry plays an integral role in the ethanol production industry. For example, the primary product of the dry milling product...

Corn milling byproducts are expected to increase dramatically in supply. Two primary types of milling processes currently exist, resulting in quite different feed products. The dry milling process produces distillers grains plus solubles, and the wet milling process produces corn gluten feed. These feeds can be marketed as wet feed, or they can be dried and marketed as either dry corn gluten fe...

The ethanol industry has expanded at an amazing rate since the turn of the century. From 2000 to 2011, the US ethanol industry grew from 1.6 billion gallons to 13.9 billion gallons of ethanol produced (Renewable Fuels Association, 2013a). The renewable fuels standard mandates that should there be 20.5 billion gallons of ethanol produced annually in the US by 2015 (Renewable Fuels Association, 2...
