Potassium chloride recovery from mechanically activated microcline through the chlorination roasting and leaching route

چکیده
In this study, effects of mechanical activation in the chlorination roasting and water leaching route known as CaCl2 process developed for production potassium chloride (KCl) from feldspar ores were studied. A microcline containing K-feldspar ore with 10.89% K2O was first intensively dry milled by a planetary ball mill mixed calcium (CaCl2) then roasted at temperatures up to 1000 °C obtain KCl that will be finally dissolved leaching. Potassium recovery increased rapidly 800 °C. At higher temperatures, decreased fast due evaporation KCl. According K values per unit energy consumed, optimum temperature determined 750 milling time 15 min. It concluded intensive causes reduce temperature, which triggers rise

Recovering Y and Eu from Waste Phosphors Using Chlorination Roasting—Water Leaching Process
Recovering Y and Eu from waste phosphors using chlorination roasting followed by a water leaching process was investigated in this study. Firstly, by chlorination roasting and water leaching, Y and Eu elements present in waste phosphors were efficiently extracted into a leach solution. Secondly, the majority of the impurities in the solution can be removed by adjusting the pH to 4.5 using a Na2...
متن کاملRecovery of Vanadium from Esfahan Steel Company Steel Slag; Optimizing of Roasting and Leaching Parameters
In this Study, vanadium recovery from the steelmaking converter slag was studied. Salt roasting-basic leaching is the process which was applied to separate and extract vanadium from steel making slag. Ground slag was roasted after mixing with determined quantities of sodium carbonate. The effect of time and temperature of roasting and sodium carbonate content were studied. The optimum temperatu...
متن کاملLeaching of gold from a mechanically and mechanochemically activated waste
The intensification of leaching of gold from a waste using mechanical activation (milling in water) and mechanochemical activation (milling in thiourea solution) were studied as the pretreatment steps. The leaching of “as-received“ sample in an acid thiourea solution resulted in 78 % Au dissolution, after mechanical activation 98 % and mechanochemical activation up to 99 % of the gold was leach...

متن کاملInvestigation on selective rhenium leaching from molybdenite roasting flue dusts
The possibility of selective leaching process was investigated during molybdenite flue dust leaching to recover its rhenium content. The results show that addition of alcohols to water makes the medium less favorable for molybdenum transfer into aqueous phase. On the other hand, addition of small amounts of alcohols (5-15%) makes a noticeable separation of rhenium over molybdenum, but by increa...
