Posttraumatic stress disorder in patients with cardiovascular diseases

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a persistent maladaptive reaction provoked by the impact of traumatic event. Recently, investigations cause-and-effect relationships PTSD with main risk factors, course and prognosis cardiovascular diseases has become more relevant. Many studies have shown that patients higher developing in general adverse events such as myocardial infarction, stroke, heart failure. Individual clinical pathophysiological behavioral mechanisms these connections require further investigation. Timely diagnosis specific treatment for are considered important not only reducing symptoms improving quality life, but also survival diseases.
