چکیده

Background: Posterior Fossa Extra Dural Hematoma (PFEDH) is a rare entity but certain crucial structures are supposed to be injured. Because of limited space in the posterior fossa, clinical small volume hematoma can deteriorate patients. Therefore timely diagnosis and prompt intervention required.
Objective: This study done analyse factors like demographic profile, mode injury, features relation PFEDH its management how they influence outcome.
Materials & methods: retrospective analysis patients who presented with from July 2016 2021 at RNT Medical College M.B. group Hospitals Udaipur, India. Patients were evaluated on basis injuries, GCS admission discharge, associated radiological findings.
Result: A total 25 included this study. Amongst these, 18 (72%) males, and10 (40%) less than years age. On 19 (76%) had 13-15.22 (88%) underwent surgery 3 (12%) planned for conservative management. At 6-month follow-up, 22 good outcomes GOS 3-5 1 was lost follow up while 2 (8%) poor 1-2.
Conclusion: predictor outcome. The EDH one key deciding line sometimes rapidly fatal due expansion compression cranial fossa which leads brain stem therefore time most important factor

Posterior Fossa Extradural Haematomas: Operate or Conserve?

They have a characteristic clinical presentation, which if detected early, can be life saving. Most PFEDHs are operated owing to the imminent propensity of brainstem compression and death. However, a growing numbe...
