چکیده
Introduction: Bilateral vocal cords paralysis in adduction when it is irreversible requires treatment due to the inspiratory dyspnea that produces. Different surgical techniques can be used increase glottic space. Posterior cordotomy with partial arytenoidectomy improves and one of most surgeries. Objectives: To determine resolution rate or decannulation, patients bilateral cord treated posterior Methods: A retrospective descriptive study was carried out by analyzing electronic medical records all who had were between March 2004 December 2018. The result determined according decannulation tracheostomy, after postoperative space evidenced endoscopy. Results: Nineteen adduction. frequent cause a total thyroidectomy (9/19). Eight tracheostomy prior cordotomy. Seven eight able decannulate, rest insufficient did not return control. All without (11/19) improved their no limitation for daily life activities. Conclusions: 100% (11/11). In tracheotomized 87,50% (7/8).

Congenital upper airway obstruction is a relatively rare but important cause of major respiratory problems in the neonatal period. Vocal cord paralysis is the second most common cause of congenital airway obstruction presenting with neonatal stridor. It is often the reason for the failure of neonates to wean from the respiratory support. A retrospective analysis of medical record review was con...
