چکیده

Objectives: The anterolateral ligament (ALL) is an important structure for knee stability and has roles in maintaining internal rotation anterior-posterior anterior cruciate (ACL)- insufficient knees. There a growing body of evidence demonstrating superior clinical outcomes including reduced graft failure rate residual pivot shift with combined ACL ALL reconstruction compared to isolated reconstruction. One common complication this procedure convergence the two tunnels used passage. Several studies have aimed determine optimal angles drill these that minimizes collision risk, but most literature limited by few angle combinations or manipulation tunnel exclusively. study examined how changing orientation femoral affected they their investigation relation line perpendicular axis. We aim investigate between coronal axial planes risk as measured minimum distance (MDBT). hypothesize there correlation both planes. Methods: This was determined be non-human subjects research Institutional Review Board. A 3D-CT anatomically normal radiologist de- identified exported into 3D modeling software Autodesk Fusion 360. model prepared analysis based on previous knee. central longitudinal axis femur set long axis, rotated so trans-epicondylar oriented x-axis. then parallel z-axis sagittal plane. Comparison of Clinical Outcomes between Different Femoral Tunnel Positions after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Surgery

Background: It has been shown that the proper placement of ACL graft during the ACL reconstruction surgery significantly improves the clinical outcomes. This study investigated whether a change in the femoral tunnel position in both axial and coronal planes can significantly alter the postoperative functional and clinical outcomes of the patients. Methods: This comparative, retrospective, singl...

Femoral tunnel in revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.

The failure rate after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction performed by expert surgeons is estimated to be in the range of 10-15%, and only 60% of patients undergoing this surgery are able to resume sporting activities comparable to those they engaged in prior to the traumatic incident. Incorrect femoral tunnel placement is one of the main causes of failed ACL reconstruction and thi...

Femoral tunnel widening after quadrupled hamstring anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.

PURPOSE To evaluate the extent of femoral tunnel widening after quadrupled hamstring anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using femoral cross pin fixation in contrast to bioabsorbable screw fixation augmented with Endopearl. METHODS 16 patients underwent cross pin femoral fixation and the next 15 underwent bioabsorbable screw fixation augmented with Endopearl. The patients were evaluated...

Correlation between Femoral Guidewire Position and Tunnel Communication in Double Bundle Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

PURPOSE The object of this study was to determine the shortest possible distances of antero-medial (AM) and postero-lateral (PL) guide wire tunnel positions required to prevent femoral bone tunnel communication in double-bundle anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using human cadaver knees. MATERIALS AND METHODS The centers of femoral AM and PL bundles of 16 cadaveric knees were dr...

Radiological analysis on femoral tunnel positioning between isometric and anatomical reconstructions of the anterior cruciate ligament☆☆☆

OBJECTIVE the aim of this study was to radiologically evaluate the femoral tunnel position in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions using the isometric and anatomical techniques. METHODS a prospective analytical study was conducted on patients undergoing ACL reconstruction by means of the isometric and anatomical techniques, using grafts from the knee flexor tendons or patellar ten...
