Poster 347: PSYCHOLOGICAL READINESS AFTER REVISION ACL RECONSTRUCTION: A ROAR STUDY
نویسندگان
چکیده
Objectives: Background: Revision ACL reconstruction (ACLR) has demonstrated worse functional outcomes and higher reinjury rates in young patients. Psychological associations with revision surgery have not previously been evaluated. Purpose: To investigate levels of psychological readiness stress patients after ACLR Methods: Patients, ages 10-35, were enrolled who underwent at one center by six surgeons. was assessed 6-months post- operatively the Anterior Cruciate Ligament Return to Sport After Injury (ACL-RSI) PROMIS- Stress Experiences (PROMIS-PSE), respectively. The International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC/Pedi-IKDC), Hospital for Special Surgery Pediatric Functional Activity Scale (HSS Pedi-FABS) also collected. Patient reported compared a cohort primary Propensity score matching 3:1 performed age, sex, graft type. Results: Matching resulted 81 (57 24 revision). Mean age group 18.6 ± 3.2 (66.7% female). most common type both BTB (65% 67%, respectively) (Table 1). Mild negative correlation detected between IKDC PROMIS PSE (r=-0.31; 95% CI=-0.49, -0.10; p=0.005) moderate positive ACL-RSI scores (r=0.56; CI=0.39, 0.70; p<0.001). had lower (47 vs. 64, p=0.004) IKDC/Pedi-IKDC (72 vs 78, p=0.05), longer return sports clearance (median, 10 months 8 months; p=0.02). Regression analysis showed could expect 15-point decrease RSI (95% CI=-25.30, -4.21; p=0.007). Furthermore, 1.4 month date CI=0.29, 2.60; p=0.01). No differences noted Pedi- FABS or PROMIS-PSE 2). Conclusions: This study is first examine sport ACLR. At post-surgery, scores, inferior knee delayed clearance. Greater attention aspects recovery setting may be important help optimize post-operative care outcomes. [Table: see text][Table: text]

متن کاملRehabilitation of Revision ACL Reconstruction
Reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is widely accepted as the treatment of choice for individuals with functional instability due to an ACLdeficient knee. It is estimated that anywhere between 60,000 and 75,000 ACL reconstructions are performed annually in the United States, although this number may be as high as 350,000. Despite the fact that nearly 90% of index ACL reconstr...

متن کاملRevision ACL reconstruction outcomes: MOON cohort.
Many clinicians believe that the results of revision anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction compare unfavorably with primary ACL reconstruction. However, few prospective studies have evaluated revision ACL reconstruction using validated patient-based metrics. This study was performed to evaluate and compare the results of revision ACL reconstruction and primary ACL reconstruction. The ...
